The keyboard in five minutes
Enter, Esc and the Gateway: everything you need to start working without the mouse.
SAHARA Core is built to be driven from the keyboard. These keys are enough to start.
Moving around
| Key | What it does |
|---|---|
| Enter | Next field; on a list, open the highlighted item or drill down |
| Esc | Back one step. In an edited field, the first Esc clears it |
| Backspace | Deletes as you type; at the start of a field, goes back to the previous field |
| ↑ ↓, PgUp PgDn, Home End | Move through lists and menus |
| Alt+G | Go To any screen, ledger or item by typing a few letters |
| Ctrl+Q | Quit the current screen |
The Gateway of SAHARA
Every company opens on the Gateway. Each item has a hot letter: V Vouchers, K Day Book, N Banking, F Final Accounts, S Stock Summary, D Display More Reports, C Create, A Alter, H Chart of Accounts, Q Quit.
The top bar has its own menus: Alt+K Company · Alt+Y Data · Alt+O Import · Alt+E Export · Alt+M Share · Alt+P Print · F1 Help.
Entering a voucher
From anywhere on the Gateway, a function key opens a voucher: F8 Sales, F9 Purchase, F5 Payment, F6 Receipt, F7 Journal, F4 Contra. Fill it with Enter and save with Ctrl+A. More in Vouchers.
Settings
- F11: Company Features.
- F12 (or Ctrl+F12, because some browsers keep F12): Configuration for the screen you are on.
- F2: change the working date (AD or BS). Alt+F2: change the period of a report.
