The first run

The five steps that open SAHARA Core for the first time: licence or trial, the super-administrator, the recovery key and your first company.

The first time you open SAHARA Core on the server PC, it walks you through five steps: Licence → Super-administrator → Recovery key → First company → All set. Enter moves to the next field.

1. How will you use SAHARA?

  • Start the free trial. Every feature, nothing capped. Each company you create can be written to for 120 days from its creation; reading, reports, printing, export and backup always work. See Licences, trial and Educational mode.
  • I have a licence. Load the licence file SAHARA Labs sent you (Load the licence). No internet? Use Export a request file, send it to SAHARA Labs, and load the licence file you receive.

2. Super-administrator

Your full name and a username, and the password you chose in Setup. This proves you are the person who installed SAHARA Core.

3. Your recovery key

SAHARA Core shows a recovery key. It is the only way back in if the password is forgotten.

  1. Print it (Ctrl+P) or Save as a file (Ctrl+S).
  2. Tick I have printed or saved the recovery key.
  3. Type the key’s last group to confirm.

Keep it somewhere safe, away from the computer.

4. First company

Type the company name (Nepal · NPR) and choose Create company, or Later. You can create companies at any time from the Gateway: see Create your company.

5. All set

SAHARA is ready. Choose Open SAHARA.
