Create your company
The Company Creation screen, field by field, and the Company Features to turn on next.
Open Alt+K (Company) › Create. Move through the fields with Enter.
The fields

| Company Name | Your business name. Mailing Name fills in from it. |
| Mailing Name | The name for letters and invoices |
| Address | Several lines; Enter on an empty line moves on |
| Province | One of the seven provinces of Nepal, or Not Applicable |

| PO Box, Telephone, Mobile, Fax, E-mail, Website | As you like |
| Base Currency | NPR (रू) by default |
| Decimal places | 2 by default |
| PAN / VAT | Exactly 9 digits, or leave it blank |
| Default company date (AD / BS) | BS by default: the calendar you type dates in |
| Disallow opening in educational mode | No by default. Yes stops the company opening at all in Educational mode. |
| Financial year beginning from | Shown in BS; defaults to 1 Shrawan of the current year |
| Books beginning from | Not earlier than the financial year start |
Press Enter on the last field and answer Accept ? with Yes.
Then: Company Features (F11)
After saving, SAHARA Core opens Company Features. You can come back at any time with F11. The ones most businesses need:
- Maintain Inventory, to keep stock items and stock vouchers.
- Enable VAT (Nepal), with Company VAT details…, for VAT registers and the Anusuchi reports.
- Enable Bill-wise entry, to track bills receivable and payable.
- Enable Cost Centres, Maintain Budgets, Enable Multi-Currency, Enable Batches, if you use them.
- Show Nepali (BS) date.
Features that are not available yet are shown greyed.
